Walmart recently announced that it would offer higher fuel discounts to entice more consumers to join and renew Walmart+ as groceries and gas costs rise.
According to Chris Cracchiolo, Senior Vice President, and General Manager of the subscription service Walmart+ many buyers are concerned about everyday expenses. The company recently surveyed consumers, and roughly half of them stated they were changing their habits as a result of higher fuel prices.
Walmart introduced its subscription service around 18 months ago to grow its e-commerce business and encourage customers to shop more in stores as well as on the website.
Walmart+ is $12.95 per month or $98 per year. Free shipping on online purchases, free grocery deliveries to your home for orders over $35, prescription discounts, and other perks are included.
