Tesla Hikes FSD beta price to $15,000 in North America

Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Sunday about the price increase to $15,000 in North America of its FSD (Full Self-Driving) beta software, the company’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

Musk added that the current price of $12000 will be applicable on the orders registered before 5th September, which will be delivered later. He further added that company owners can upgrade their existing cars to FSD within a couple of minutes.

However, the Company CEO didn’t confirm having a planned price hike on the subscription option for Full Self-driving which happens to be at $199 a month.

Approximately 100,000 Tesla vehicles are equipped with an FSD system, which is not exactly a car driven on its own literally—the cars require the drivers to remain alert and resume driving control as needed. However, the California Department of Motor Vehicles had recently accused Tesla of falsely and misleading advertising of its Autopilot ADAS and FSD.
