Tesla and Neoen together plan to resume testing of a big energy storage system in Victoria, Australia, after a fire breakout slowed their progress down in the month of July. Operations of the two corporations were suspended by the Australian authorities so that the investigations could be completed.
Neoen will be sharing the results of the root cause analysis and said that Tesla has improved the safety of their utility-scale, lithium-ion battery energy storage systems.
Permission has been granted to Neoen and Tesla to re-energize testing of the Victorian Big Battery by Victoria’s safety regulator for electricity, gas, and pipelines.
