Indexed I/O: Specializing in eDiscovery Solutions

The number of emails, text messages, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF files and other digitized business documents are rising dramatically every day. Finding the exactly required data in the ocean of information has become hectic than ever before. Hence, Indexed I/O an innovative Electronic Discovery data processing and analytics company is utilizing cutting edge technologies and an elastic-computing environment to allow users to process and analyze more data, faster, and more cost effectively.
In an interview with Insights success, Brian McHughs, CEO of Indexed I/O shares some insightful answers on how the company is supporting the law firms and corporate legal teams with its only eDiscovery solution on the market that offers ‘daily hosting’.
Below are the highlights of the interview between Brian McHughs and Insights Success:

  1. Give a brief overview of the company, its solutions and services?

Founded in 2012, Indexed I/O has continuously developed and provided cutting edge, cloud-based, eDiscovery technologies to the legal world. It is the first truly purpose built, end to end, fully automated, eDiscovery SaaS platform in the industry.

  1. How do you diversify your e-discovering solutions in ways that would benefit your clientele?

Indexed I/O is not only secure, scalable, and cost effective, but we’ve made it a priority to make it ‘useable’ and intuitive. This allows our clientele/users to quickly collect and process their data, and instantly start searching and reviewing. With a super easy-to-use interface, our users don’t need extensive knowledge and experience in technology or data; we take care of all of that for them, allowing them to focus on their client and case.

  1. Describe the experiences, achievements or lessons learnt that have shaped the journey of the company.

The biggest lesson learned here at Indexed I/O, is to continuously strive to ‘solve problems’ for our users. Since we founded the company we have averaged feature releases every 4 to 6 weeks.  We’ve listened to our users and prioritized adding new functionality and features to help them have the best eDiscovery experience possible. Commitment to problems solving has allowed the product to continuously grow and adapt to the ever-changing digital and social media landscape. We’ve seen amazing growth with our solution and our user base (with near 100% of our users returning to our platform for their 2nd, 3rd, 100th case). This really shows us that we’re helping them and they see value in the platform.

  1. How does the company contribute towards making the industry better?

From the start Indexed I/O’s focus was to bring advanced legal eDiscovery technologies to everyone, not just to the big budget guys. In doing this, we not only make them accessible, anywhere in the world, 24/7, but to provide them an intuitive and easy to use environment. So every lawyer or law firm can keep themselves on a high level playing field, no regardless of their budget. Most of the solutions in our industry require a significant budget, specialized hardware, and dedicated team members that need to become ‘experts’ before you even get started. With Indexed I/O, we have users that literally sign up for an account online, and within minutes are searching and reviewing documents. This is changing the industry now as lawyers and legal teams can focus on their case, not on elaborating data processing workflow.

  1. Tell us about the Founder/CEO/Management of the company and his experience and influences in this field?

The company was founded by Brian McHughs and Eric Fowler. We had worked together in the industry for quite some time when we both kept witnessing the same problems over and over in the eDiscovery industry; hard to scale solutions, slow environments and speeds, the lack of technical knowledge needed to operate the solutions effectively, etc. We started brainstorming how we could design and build a better solution and when enough of the pieces fell into place, we founded Indexed I/O. We were the first true, do it yourself, cloud-based eDiscovery solution.  There are more now, but in 2012, we were it. We were front-runners in this space and have continuously pushed the industry with our innovation and aggressive development schedule.

  1. Where does Indexed I/O see itself in the long run and/or what are its future goals?

In the long run I see Indexed I/O continuing to push forward and bring our users the latest and greatest data technologies. I’m sure aspects of the application may look very different in the future, as newer data technologies created and utilized, however, the core strategy of Indexed I/O is to build tools and solutions around these, and bring them to our end users. This plays directly into our long term goals. We’ve already started on an extensive AI release that will assist our users in reviewing and assessing their data. That is just the next thing; we’ll always keep pushing to be the best.

  1. Considering the rising number of e-discovery solution providers, how does Indexed I/O stand out from its competitors?

Simply put, Indexed I/O stands out from our competitors by being the easiest solution on the market. You can go to our website, sign up for an account, and be processing and reviewing documents literally in minutes. I’ll also add that we get a LOT of data from users that simply can’t meet their deadline with other solutions or service companies. Indexed I/O really scales up processing and exports and is often the only solution that can meet their needs.
