APIVIO ANNOUNCES LOI WITH NEC CORPORATION TO DEVELOP NEXT GENERATION PRODUCT FOR GLOBAL MARKETS

VANCOUVER, BC –Apivio Systems Inc. (“Apivio” or the “Company”) (TSX.V: APV), a leading provider of VoIP solutions, is pleased to announce that the Company has executed a letter of intent (“LOI”) to develop the next generation Android based enterprise smart desk phone platform for NEC Corporation for global distribution. NEC is a leading provider of innovative IT, network and communications solutions. NEC’s North American business unit is the current distributor of Apivio’s first generation Monet series product.
“We are pleased to expand our relationship with NEC from the North America business unit to NEC’s head office in Japan, and this LOI is an endorsement of our shared vision that every enterprise desk phone will one day be a smart desk phone,” commented Rob Bakshi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Apivio Systems Inc. “We are excited about the opportunity and look forward to working with them.” Details around product specifications and business agreement are underway.
Developed for NEC of America, the UT880 is an Android-based smart deskphone featuring a brilliant high resolution screen with amazing video quality, a full suite of advanced telephony features, and rich video applications with advanced networking technology, all of which combine to deliver a stunning user experience. Designed to drive teamwork, performance and overall return on investment, UT880 users can download and run Android-based enterprise specific apps from NEC’s Marketplace App Store, a unique offering in enterprise telephony.
