SimpliVity: Enterprise-Class Performance, Protection, and Resiliency, with the Cloud Economics Your Business Demands

Hyperconverged infrastructure technology is maturing, and there is need of comprehensive research and tremendous efforts. While other companies offered data center convergence of servers, networking and storage, SimpliVity was the first hyperconverged vendor that converged all IT infrastructure below the hypervisor.
SimpliVity delivers what modern data centers crave: the economics, agility and ease of cloud models, coupled with performance, protection, and other enterprise functions. They have pioneered true hyperconverged infrastructure to eliminate the complexity and cost of deploying and running virtualized workloads, disrupting the status quo of complex and cumbersome legacy IT systems.
SimpliVity takes the traditional compute, storage, network switching and other data services found in the data center and converges them in an x86 server form factor. The result is lots of functionality in a much smaller footprint and the elimination of independent device management. SimpliVity also eliminates redundant file segments, storing the minimum amount of data. By simplifying the infrastructure, management, and data storage, SimpliVity improves operational efficiency, accelerates application deployment, and helps IT achieve a better economic model.
SimpliVity’s hyperconverged infrastructure assimilates all data center services (eight to 12 functions) on commodity x86 systems, including the hypervisor, compute, storage, network switching, backup, replication, cloud gateway, caching, WAN optimization, real-time deduplication and more. Clustering multiple units form a shared resource pool and delivers high availability and efficient scaling of performance and capacity. Instances of SimpliVity’s hyperconverged infrastructure within the same and across different data centers form a federation that can be globally managed from a single interface. SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure accelerates time to value, improves operational efficiency, minimizes risk, and delivers a 3x TCO savings.
Disruptive Innovator and a Tech Maestro
Doron Kempel, Founder & CEO, SimpliVity had the vision to simplify IT infrastructure.  Prior to that, he was a CEO of Diligent Technologies, which was a pioneer in the development of data deduplication for backup data stored on disk media. SimpliVity’s hyperconverged infrastructure solution is highly innovative since it challenges the complacency and “good enough” mentality of current infrastructure choices, and displaces incumbent technology from some of the biggest brands in the industry.
Undeterred by the big players in the market he’d have to face, Doron funded and founded SimpliVity, recruiting top talent to examine the market problem with him and formulate a winning strategy. After 43 months of technology development in stealth mode, SimpliVity was ready to launch and compete head-to-head with more established companies that already had a stranglehold on the target audience, as well as new market entrants that had up to a two-year lead on SimpliVity. In just 23 months after shipping its first product, SimpliVity completed a $175M Series D round of funding, achieving a $1B valuation under his tutelage.
SimpliVity is a company founded on the belief that today’s modern data centers need to be greatly simplified. They offer a revolutionary and disruptive innovation designed to simplify—and deliver big savings in capital and operational costs.
What they are most excited about is data efficiency, built-in data protection for remote and local locations to reduce RTO and RPO, VM-centric management, and integration with cloud providers like AWS and Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance. Customers across various industries and range in size, and include MLB Network, T-Systems, St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Vollrath, Town of Vail and more.
